Project background

Part of my research interests includes how we market to different generations. We often do individual persona research for different clients, but how often do we actually consider how our overall social/content strategy appeals to the different generations in a compelling way? Because, after all, you can't market to someone who isn't there.

Creative process

I saw an opportunity to provide some information on generational marketing for three key generations. I then was able to publish them through a multipart series on our agency blog, which gave us an opportunity to provide thought leadership on our website and social media.

Final results

We published each blog on our agency website. Then we crafted compelling visuals for LinkedIn, Facebook, and our Instagram grid. For stories, we were able to use the polling feature to invite users to take part in the conversation.

A take on generational marketing.

We published this information as a four-part series that looked at the digital media use of baby boomers, millennials, and Gen X. Below is my take on what I learned and a link to each of the original articles.
